This class advances the dog's scent discrimination skills taught in the Introduction to K9 Nose Work and K9 Nose Work Mini Fun classes. Dogs are taught to identify the first target odor of the sport: Birch, a natural essential oil. Additionally, we introduce techniques and tactics for building better dog/handler teamwork. This class is also appropriate for dog handler teams working with Birch who would like to gain experience searching for Birch in a new environment. Intro to Odor is intended to be repeated multiple times.
